Cloudflare launched Certificate Transparency monitoring in public access
Cloudflare made its Certificate Transparency monitoring service publicly available. The system no longer sends notifications about certificates issued by Cloudflare itself, which increases the significance of each received alert.
Cloudflare announced the launch of Certificate Transparency Monitoring from beta. The service monitors issued certificates for user domains through Certificate Transparency (CT) logs.
Key change: Cloudflare no longer sends notifications about certificates that it issued itself for a client’s domain. This means that each notification received by email from the service requires attention, as it indicates the issuance of a certificate by a third party.
The service helps detect unauthorized certificate issuance for domains, which may indicate an attempt to intercept traffic or phishing.
